Shweta Karki graduated from the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, Tribhuvan University in 2018 with the Gold Medal. She remained actively engaged in the academic field since her graduation, having been involved in several conferences and workshops. She previously worked at Presidential Business School as a teaching assistant and research associate, and has been a regular faculty in the Department since February 2019. She was also associated with DCNepal, English Edition as a senior correspondent and has been an author and researcher in an organization focused on the study of geopolitics and Nepal’s foreign policy, Nepal FIRST. She has publications on various online platforms, and has contributed to the Department Journal as well.
Her areas of interest are with the central theories of IR, human security and development, history of International Relations, small states theory, and the theory and philosophy of international law and international human rights.
